WHY SO DARK?

The memories that haunt her every night ,
Are of the endeavors
She had made
To flee from the things
She wanted to forget.
Ending up in a whirlwind,
So easy to enter oh!
She cant find her way back.
But lost in the labyrinth,
She forgets the world
Every time she holds her pen.
Her thoughts,to her, are like a lamp

Casting a halo of light.
And though she knows what dwells

In the darkness beyond it,
The mirth of vanquishing the sickness and evil
In her fantasies
Makes her deliciously blind.
But the burning stabs of reality
Is why her poems are sad so often.
She had come way too far to a place,
With no rabbits and waters all around

Only to escape the horrors that terrified her.
She wants to write happy endings,
But only if she could write one for herself,

Maybe she could find her way back...
