The gardens wind swept away!!
The light from the lantern
The traveler left behind
Shines through the dusty panes of your window
You did not let the dark draw curtains
When you looked upon the ruins
Of what was once a garden
The air doesn't smell of lilies anymore
so you choke yourself on the smoke of memories as hope struggles to float
If I could, I would make the dark evaporate like sidewalk water
And bend the stars into fences so strong,
Nothing could ever break them
But all I have is a hand that spills words and tries to weave them into what they call poetry
Also, a fist full of Lilly seeds
And I'd need a hand in planting them before the morning sunlight hits the mended fence
Gardens will bloom again if we try hard enough, won't they?
